Started initially as a value added service to our EMI filter (RFI filter, EMC filter) customers in the Appliance and Portable Tool industries, LCR has developed the capability and competency for designing and manufacturing small, medium and large wiring harnesses of various complexities. Our cable assemblies range from one lead wire to multi conductor multi circuit wire harnesses. All of our cable assemblies are custom made.
Currently we manufacture electrical wire harnesses for a variety of industries including Portable tool, Appliance, Dispensing systems and Computer products.
LCR can design wire harnesses to your unique needs or to your prints and more importantly manufacture them at our low cost Manufacturing facility in China. Our various automated wire processing and termination equipment ensure consistent quality, cost effective products and shorter lead times
LCR's design and development resides at our Norristown, PA facility where all the design and documentation efforts are accomplished. The completed documentation package along with samples is then sent to our wholly-owned low cost China facility which builds the wire harnesses and cable assemblies based on the specific instruction and documentation received from our US facility. Both US and China facilities are ISO 9001-2000 approved.
The China facility starts volumes production only after LCR USA as well as our customer has approved the first article. After the quality inspections at our China facility parts are shipped to LCR Norristown facility, where they go through another round of incoming quality. The parts are then shipped to our customer. Should our customer require it, we keep the parts in inventory at our Norristown facility and ship them to the customer per their releases.
LCR's facility at Norristown, PA is the main contact point for all of our US customers. With this, we offer to our customers, the unique feature of cost effective products with the flexibility of dealing with a US company.
LCR offers electronic contract manufacturing (build to print) capability for existing products as well as custom design and manufacturing capability for new designs. On existing wire harnesses, we can either work with a harness sample or a detailed drawing. On new design we will need a wire list in order to start the design work.
The electrical wire harnesses we produce can range from being few inches long with couple of wires and simple terminals to few feet long with variety of fast-on/ quick disconnects, multi-pin connectors, terminal blocks and other specialty connectors etc. In China, LCR has developed a comprehensive sourcing database and we have the capability to second source the fully approved exact equivalent to most of the harness parts offering significant cost saving. LCR has also been involved in terminal standardization programs to take advantage of economies of scale and improved efficiencies.
