Norristown, PA. February 2013 – After 14 years of exemplary service and contributions to the company, LCR Electronics, Inc., announced today that Rinaldo (Ron) Minicucci has elected to retire at the end of April. Ron came to LCR as the VP of Sales and Marketing and took on the responsibility for the Integrated Systems division after LCR Purchased Malco Technologies in 2003. With this departure, the company has announced the appointment of John Long as Ron’s replacement.

“We are saying goodbye to an outstanding leader and true contributor, but over the years we have built an extremely strong and proven team,” said LCR President Nissen Isakov. “I am confident that John’s addition will continue building on the strong foundation that Ron and the leadership team have established, and that he will continue moving the company forward while further strengthening its position as an industry leader in Integrated Systems.”

Minicucci joined LCR in 1999 to take on the role of business development, sales and marketing for EMI Filters and Electronic Products for both the commercial and military market sectors. As a VP, he was also a strategic member of LCR’s executive leadership team. In 2003, LCR moved its EMI appliance filter manufacturing to its wholly owned China facility and acquired Malco Technologies, a backplane and chassis company. Ron was instrumental in merging Malco into LCR and growing it ten-fold so that today, Integrated Systems (IS) is LCR’s largest business unit. To continue building on Ron’s strategic vision, we have invested in additional engineering capabilities to offer our Customer’s fully integrated mission ready systems.

“Ron provided LCR’s Integrated Systems business with strong leadership and was instrumental in shaping its strategic vision,” Isakov said. “On behalf of the entire LCR Team I want to extend my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Ron and wish him a long, enjoyable and fulfilled retirement.”

LCR has appointed John Long to join the LCR team as the VP of Integrated Systems to be responsible for the strategic vision of this business unit, including further expanding and enhancing the Systems Integration product line. John’s proven background and skill set in developing and growing embedded product lines will help ensure LCR’s continued growth, allowing the company to further its leadership position in the embedded market place. In this position, John will join LCR’s strategic leadership team.

“The embedded industry is changing and customers are focusing on where they add value, software and services. This is driving more of a demand to purchase pre-integrated and proven systems. LCR has a long history in the rugged backplane and enclosure market, and with their new focus on system integration, LCR is well positioned to help customers zero in on their added value,” says John Long.

John comes to LCR with over 20 years of experience in the board level and embedded systems industry, both in the commercial and military market places. John has a proven track record and has held Management positions at AT&T, Intel and most recently was the Director of Product Management at Radisys. His background, intimate technical knowledge of the product lines and familiarity with our customers needs will benefit our organization immensely. John’s appointment comes after another year of double digit growth for LCR.

John earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the College of Engineering at Iowa State University and Masters of Industrial Administration (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University.
